Cable for use in industrial and agricultural workshops, construction sites. For heavy-duty applications and for supplying power to industrial or agricultural machines and appliances in which the cables are subject to medium mechanical stress (e.g. heating plates, inspection lamps, power tools such as drills, circular saws and household power tools). Use in dry, damp or wet environments.

Cable for fixed installations, e.g. on temporary building facades and construction site huts intended for housing. Permanent outdoor use permitted. If installed for fixed and protected installation 0.6/1 kV a.c. Minimum operating temperature: -40°C (in the absence of mechanical stress). Good resistance to mechanical stress, oil, chemical and weathering agents and low temperatures. For stresses in static operation it is recommended not to exceed 1.5 Kg/mm²

Example code: pre-code-typology-cable-number X/G number
The first 3 characters of the code are called pre-code, and can be either a generic CON which stands for conduit or the METEL pre-code of each brand. Example CSB stands for Specialcavi Baldassarri.
In the centre of the code you will usually find the type of cable. For example FG16OR16. The data sheet usually contains the technical data of the respective cable type. But if you want to find out more, you can conveniently search for information on the Internet.
Then we have two numbers separated by X or G. The first number represents the number of conductors, the second the cross-section (not the diameter) of the individual conductors. If the numbers are separated by X it means that there is no yellow-green inside the cable, if it is separated by G it means that one of the conductors is yellow-green.
