The ABB F3CAR230 unit (model F3C-AR230) is an automatic reclosing device for pure residual current circuit breakers (RCCBs) of the F200 series. It automatically resets the device after an unwanted trip, ensuring service continuity without manual intervention.
Ideal for residential, commercial, and industrial installations where the power supply must remain active even during transient faults caused by lightning, harmonics, EMC disturbances, or voltage fluctuations.
Compatibility
⚠️ Warning – Only compatible with pure RCCBs from the F200 series
- Compatible with:
- ABB F202 (2-pole), up to 100A
- ABB F204 (4-pole), up to 63A
- ABB F200 type B, up to 63A
- Not compatible with:
- Devices outside the F200 series
- Devices over 100A
- RCBOs (residual current circuit breakers with overcurrent protection)
Reclosing Operation
The F3CAR230 performs up to 3 automatic reclosing attempts after a trip:
- Interval between attempts: 3 seconds
- If the fault is permanent, the device locks and does not retry
This logic is suited for handling occasional or transient faults without checking the system before automatic resetting.
