Real-world requirements
2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only. 5 GHz is not supported.
With dual-band routers, separate SSIDs are recommended.
Initial setup must be performed from a smartphone connected to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network.
If this step is skipped, the device may appear faulty even though it is working correctly.
Two Wi-Fi operating modes
-
AP Mode (Direct Hotspot)
The Perry creates its own Wi-Fi network.
The smartphone connects directly to the device.
No internet connection is required.
Typical range is about 15 to 20 meters.
Time must be synchronized manually from the app.
-
STA Mode (Router + Cloud)
The Perry connects to your home Wi-Fi router.
Remote control is available from anywhere through the internet.
Time synchronization is automatic.
The device can be shared with other users.
Important
Even if the internet connection or cloud service is unavailable, all programmed schedules continue to operate because they are stored directly inside the device.
