The Perry 1IO 4291NFC combines a weekly time switch and an astronomical switch into a single unit: loads can be controlled based on fixed times, sunrise and sunset (calculated using the site's geographic coordinates), or a combination of both criteria (e.g., a program that switches on at the astronomical time and off at a fixed time, or vice versa).

The NFC interface sets this device apart. Using the free Perry Home app on an iOS or Android smartphone, you can conveniently prepare the entire program and then simply place the phone against the device's display to transfer the data. It works in reverse, too: you can read the program from an already installed unit, modify it, and write it back. The copy/paste function is a game-changer for systems requiring multiple devices to be configured identically, as it eliminates the time-consuming nature of manual programming at each individual panel. However, the backlit display and front buttons remain fully functional for those who prefer the traditional method.

The memory supports up to 45 freely configurable ON/OFF programs, with a minimum switching time of 1 minute and an advance/delay offset of up to ±120 minutes for switching times—useful for adjusting the astronomical schedule to account for actual shading at the site. Features include a holiday program (suspending scheduled operations for periods ranging from 1 day to 12 months), permanent or temporary manual override, an hour counter for load monitoring, scheduled maintenance alerts, and a keypad lock. Daylight Saving Time (DST) switching is automatic.

The CR2032 lithium backup battery ensures a 4–5 year power reserve and can be replaced from the front without removing the unit from the panel. Programs and settings are stored in permanent memory. Hinged, sealable cover; DIN-rail or panel-mount installation (with optional kit).
