WAGO 221-412 - 2-Conductor Lever Connector, 4 mm², 221 Series
The WAGO 221-412 is a 2-pole connector from the 221 COMPACT series—the most widely used format for quick connections in junction boxes, control panels, appliances, and lighting fixtures. The orange levers are operated by hand: simply strip the conductor by 11 mm, open the lever, insert the wire fully, and close the lever. No tools or twisting of copper strands are required, and the connection can be reopened and reused at any time.
CAGE CLAMP® connection technology ensures constant contact pressure over time—independent of conductor cross-section or the installer's technique—and is resistant to vibrations and thermal cycling. The transparent polycarbonate housing allows for a quick visual check to ensure both conductors are correctly inserted, while the compact dimensions (13.1 x 8.3 x 18.6 mm) and levers that sit flush with the housing allow it to fit into even the most crowded junction boxes.
It accommodates both solid conductors (typical of residential wiring) and flexible stranded wires (used in appliances and internal wiring), making it ideal for branch circuits, repairs to existing systems, and connecting ovens, cooktops, video intercoms, ceiling lights, and LED strips.
