DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The WAGO 221-413 is the 3-pole connector from the 221 COMPACT series—the most popular format for junction box connections: incoming phase, outgoing phase, and a branch line to a light fixture or socket. The orange levers are operated by hand: simply strip the conductor by 11 mm, open the lever, insert the wire fully, and close the lever. No tools, no conductor preparation, and no crimping ferrules required.

The CAGE CLAMP connection technology is maintenance-free and ensures constant contact pressure over time—independent of conductor cross-section or the installer's technique—and is resistant to vibrations and thermal cycling. The transparent polycarbonate housing allows for a quick visual check to ensure all three conductors are correctly inserted, while the compact dimensions (18.8 x 8.4 x 18.6 mm) and flush-fitting levers allow it to fit easily into even crowded junction boxes.

It accommodates both solid conductors (typical of residential wiring) and flexible stranded wires (used in appliances and internal wiring), making it ideal for branch connections, splices, repairs to existing systems, and connecting ovens, cooktops, video intercoms, and light fixtures.
