Applications
Cable for fixed laying complying with the requirements of the Construction Products Regulation (CPR EU 305/11), with the aim of limiting the production and spread of fire and smoke. Multi-core shielded cable for energy, control, signalling, command or measurement systems with oil-resistant outer sheath. The shielding, the characteristics of non-propagation of fire (low risk of bundling) and the small external dimensions make it particularly suitable for intercom, civil, industrial applications indoors and on board machines, and in general where protection against possible interference and disturbance due to external electromagnetic fields is required. This cable can always be installed in coexistence with 450/750V energy cables, and furthermore, if used to supply category 0 systems (rated voltage less than or equal to 50V, if AC, or 120V, if DC or non-conducting), it can also be installed in coexistence with 0.6/1kV energy cables supplying loads with a rated voltage of 230/400V. It can also be used for occasional acyclic laying without stress. Underground laying is not permitted, even if protected
Cable data sheet guide:
The following information is contained in the cable code:
Example code: pre-code-typology-cable-number X/G number
The first 3 characters of the code are called pre-code, and can be either a generic CON which stands for conduit or the METEL pre-code of each brand. Example CSB stands for Specialcavi Baldassarri.
In the centre of the code you will usually find the type of cable. For example FG16OR16. The data sheet usually contains the technical data of the respective cable type. But if you want to find out more, you can conveniently search for information on the Internet.
Then we have two numbers separated by X or G. The first number represents the number of conductors, the second the cross-section (not the diameter) of the individual conductors. If the numbers are separated by X it means that there is no yellow-green inside the cable, if it is separated by G it means that one of the conductors is yellow-green.
